| Dave Levy grew up in Ann Arbor, but didn't
collide with Grateful Dead's music until 1985,
while enrolled in the University of California
at Berkeley's Physics program. He soon returned
to Ann Arbor, finishing his B.S. work (yes,
that's a pun) at the University of Michigan
and playing keyboards, bass and guitar with
a series of metro Detroit-area bands, doing
a variety of material: for example Tennessee
Jed, the Hard Times Band, and the Cedar Creek
Country Band each covered music from Motown
to Blues to Hank Williams Senior, 70's rock,
and original tunes.
Besides , Dave records & performs original
music with F.U. Bailey and the Seeing Eye
Lemmings (look them up & download on
mp3.com: just search for Lemmings) and 50's-to-70's
covers with The Missing Lynx, which performs
anywhere from the Metro Airport neighborhood
to Downriver.
