| Deep Space Six is an
Ann Arbor-based band that has been playing
to crowded venues since New Years Eve of
1992/1993. Their positive energy and improvisational
jamming has made them one of Michigan's favorite
dance bands. Their psychedelic style is derived
from a variety of influences, ranging from
rock 'n' roll to blues, jazz and country.
Mainly influenced by The Grateful Dead, the
band also covers a variety of late-sixties
artists such as the Allman Brothers, The
Rolling Stones, The Band, Bob Dylan and Van
Morrison.
The dedication to the music, the original
jams and the connection to the audiences
makes Deep Space Six a fun band people
find worth seeing again and again. In April
2002, Deep Space Six traveled to Negril,
Jamaica to play on the beaches. >>Click
